Every Jeep includes driver assistance systems that protect you on the road. They monitor the area around you for potential threats and then warn you so you can take action and prevent an accident. Drowsy Driver Detection
If you drive long distances or at night, you can become tired. You could also become distracted, particularly when driving on a familiar route. This feature helps keep you safe by warning you if you show signs of drowsiness, fatigue, or distraction.
The system uses a mini camera in the cabin that focuses on your eye and head position and driving posture. You receive visual and audio warnings if the camera detects your body slumping in the seat, your eyes aren't focused forward, or your head position appears angled away from the windshield. These warnings increase in intensity until you react and focus on the road ahead.
Blind Spot Monitoring
Blind spots have always been dangerous for a driver when you want to change lanes, as they're impossible to see using your side or rearview mirrors. This feature uses radar to monitor your blind spots and warn of potential danger. If a vehicle enters a blind spot and you're actively changing lanes, you receive an instant visual alert, and a warning tone will sound. This prevents an accident as you can brake or turn back to prevent a collision.
Rear Cross Path Detection
This feature uses sensors in your Jeep's rear to identify vehicles, pedestrians, or objects that may pass behind you when you reverse. If something is detected, you receive audio and visual warnings, allowing you to hit the brakes and prevent an accident.
Active Lane Management System
This system uses a forward-facing camera to identify lane line markings. Once the markings are detected, you'll receive warnings if your wheels move toward the lane boundary and you're not actively steering. The system supplies additional steering torque to allow you to turn back into your lane.
Foreward Collison Warning
This feature uses radar and a camera to watch the area ahead of your vehicle. If a vehicle is detected, the system compares the distance between the vehicles to your current speed to determine if a collision is possible. If a collision is possible, you'll hear warning noises and a warning icon will appear on your screen. This gives you enough time to hit the brakes and avoid an accident.
