The renowned Dodge Charger, now almost 60 years old, has stayed remarkably true to its 1960s roots, with unwavering muscle car styling and jaw-dropping speed. 2025 marks the second year of the all-new electric charger: the 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV. This electrified version brings even greater power and speed to the legendary Charger. Let’s explore some of its exciting features.

1. Dual-Motor AWD Powertrain

Both trims of the Daytona use a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. In the R/T trim, the motors combine to produce 496 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. Driving range is impressively high, with estimates of 308 miles per charge. The Scat Pack trim delivers a blistering 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. In both models, drivers can engage the PowerShot feature for an extra 40-hp boost for 15 seconds

2. Impressive Acceleration

Thanks to instant torque, the Daytona is faster than V8-powered versions of the Charger. The R/T trim can reach 60 mph in about 4.7 seconds, while the Scat Pack trim can launch to 60 mph in only 3.3 seconds and reach a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds.

3. Improved Aerodynamics

For 2025, the Daytona has been fashioned with a patent-pending R-Wing front aero pass-through. This wing channels airs over the hood to reduce drag by up to 3% and front-end lift by up to 30%. Other aerodynamic components include active grille shutters, underbody airflow control panels, and functional air vents near the brakes.

4. Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust

The audacious roar of the traditional V8 engine is one of the most iconic features of the Charger. In place of a traditional exhaust, the Charger Daytona uses a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which mimics the exhaust notes of the V8. Mode control allows drivers to change the tone and volume based on the selected drive mode. The system also includes a stealth mode for when quietness is preferred.

5. High-Tech Driver Tools

Inside the cabin, the Daytona features a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 16-inch digital instrument cluster, and an optional head-up display. The infotainment system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Performance Pages display real-time performance metrics such as G-force data, torque and power output, and battery temperature. The touchscreen also provides access to the car’s several drive modes.

6. Functional Cargo Usability

The Daytona offers daily usability while preserving the muscle-car feel. Cargo volume is a significant step up from previous Charger models, with a larger hatch that holds up to 22.6 cubic feet. With the rear seats folded, usable cargo space expands to 38.5 cubic feet. The absence of an engine frees up even more room in the front trunk.

The 2025 Charger Daytona is the most powerful muscle car to ever grace the roads. Explore our Dodge inventory at Zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Plainwell in Plainwell, MI.
